Recently, I had an opportunity to contribute to a Dynamite Headdy remix album project. While I’d never played the game, I did have a fantastically fun time remixing the main theme of a prominent boss, Maruyama, and this is what came out:

Welcome, Acidplaneteers (and everyone else), to my entry for round two of our lil’ tourney. With Halloween being fresh in my mind, still, I’ve named this tense, brooding, ever-so-slightly-dissonant, somewhat nervous track “Too-Much-Candy Ghoul.” I’m proud to say that, maybe for the first time ever, I have actually used every single available loop to some degree or another. My opponent for this week is the worthy Inny Binny, whom I have faced several times in the past. I’m fairly certain we’re tied as far as all-time victories against each other in 8pack battles go, so this isn’t just a fight to get to the next round!

As some people may know, I create rap beats on occasion. I’ve started posting them over at Bandcamp.com, priced for sale to rappers. The beats are $25 apiece ($20 each if you buy the entire collection, such as it is), and may be used in any rap productions for free or for profit. All I ask is that you credit me.

Quick post to show everyone this remix I did of an awesome artist and friend of mine, Airdrift. He just recently got signed to Dangerbox Recordings, one of my very favorite record labels, and his Frozen EP is undergoing a promo phase right now in anticipation of its August 16th release on Beatport.  Here’s my remix of his song “Phoenix.” Special thanks to my friend James for the guitar work!

We are looking for a short 35-45 second fresh and updated theme using all of the vocals included as is.
