Experimental Dubstep Track – Chaos Prime

Well, the dubstep genre has been popular for a while now, so I thought I’d take a stab at creating my own dubstep track.  Could this be the first of many to come?  Maybe, we’ll see.  This actually started out as a rap beat (hey, rappers, I do beats too!), but I took it in a completely new direction once I got the wobble-bass idea in my head.  Check it out!

Track posted at OCRemix.org

Well, I’m super-excited as I write this.  I just found out that a remix I did of the intro music from Dark Cloud 2, a role-playing video game for the Playstation 2, just got posted to OCRemix.org!  Now, in case you don’t know, OCR is the largest video game remix community on the internet, and there are a ton of mixes on the site that could only be described as pure genius.  It’s very difficult to get a track approved, as each submitted track goes through a lengthy and thorough judging process.  I’ve submitted a few tracks in the past, and they’ve been turned down.  Well, finally, this one made it through the judging panel and onto the front page of OCR!  The track is titled “Before Everything Happened,” and it can be downloaded here.  While you’re there, do yourself a favor and browse the site’s song archives, as there are a ton of awesome tracks.  You might even find a remix from one of your favorite video games.  Enjoy!

New and Improved!

Welcome to the brand-new WordPress version of FlexstyleMusic.com. If you’ve visited the old site in the past, everything that was there is now here. Biography, free downloads, all that good stuff.  If you’re new, welcome!

This new site is intended to be updated more than once a year.  I’m hoping to be able to share my music more easily with all y’all, and not have to necessarily rely on any other website to get my music out there.  Right now, I’m finding SoundCloud to be useful, but I’m exploring other options as well, most notably Uvumi. I used to be with TheSixtyOne.com, but the site’s designers decided to go out on a limb with a totally new, totally useless design.

Whatever. You didn’t come to this site to hear me whine, you came here for music! Here, have some music. This song is a remix of a very creative indie band called Evan Brightly, and all their songs are available to stream for free on their website.  Click play below to hear my remix of their song “Light, All Light!”
